Hey folks,

It's been some time since finger hit key and I blogged here.  It's not through neglect, it's through disappointment. 

A site that I write for, both in news article and in blogging is not as international as I hoped it would be and as I'm sure they would like to be.  They do claim to be international and yes, some, very little, of their input comes from abroad but in reality their main content comes from Canada.  Some from the USA but not much.

I have no doubt that this site would wish that their content came from further afield and I will continue to try to help them in accomplishing this wish, but at the same time they have to promote their citizen journalists from outside Canada.

Here's to Citizen Journalists Around The World.

Birthday
Yes, it's my birthday today, 31-years-old indeed.  Quite honestly it doesn't seem like a year since I had my 30th birthday party but it is, there's no denying it!  What am I doing with my birthday? Crikey.  It's over a month since I've written anything on my website.  Bad, bad me.

It's been a few days since I've written and quite honestly I wasn't going to write tonight either. It's late, heading towards one AM and I've had a busy week and busy day.

It was with some sadness that I found out today Stephen Fry's series "Kingdom" will be entering into a fourth season.  This genteel and thought-provoking programme was an escape from reality for an hour a week.  An escape that was welcome by millions.  Not enough millions apparently.

Yes, here I am trying to write more regularly.  What a hope.

I have to say, I'm writing this blog with one eye on the TV as I have a news channel on and, despite the fact that for the past two hours the news has just repeated itself I still watch.  That's life as a news junkie.

I haven't written in this blog for something like twenty days which is slightly ridiculous.  I may joke about the lack of visitors to the site but I know that the best way to attract visitors is to keep the site active.  Must do better.  To be honest, I do have at least a few moments every few days to write something and I should.

Anyone who has had the misfortune to stumble upon my site will have noticed that there are one or two areas that have a tag underneath that says "get widget".  These appear because I'm a bit of a cheapskate and won't pay to upgrade the site until I think it's worth the apparent $9 or so to upgrade.  $9 converts to about £4.50 or even less but still, money doesn't grow on trees.  In time I might fork it out.

Well, tonight I launched my site.  I wasn't going to but work has gone well on it and I'm pretty impressed.  If you're an early visitor to the site you'll notice changes as time goes on but hopefully nothing drastic that would turn you away from it.  I still have a few things to figure out.  I never attached my own domain name before but I did it tonight and was successful! A new career for me perhaps? Haha, I doubt it.
